Preparing For Adult Bible Study - Sundays at 10:30 A.M.

I received this letter to the editor and was asked to share it.

Just wanted to give a shout-out and a BIG "Atta-boy" to Johnny Anderson for all of the work he's done with the recent snow events, bum shoulder or no bum shoulder.  He had the fore-thought to get the tractor out of the shed and have it ready to go before the blizzard got here, and even though he did have some outside help because of the depth of the drifts, he was right there, pushing and "sculpting" the parking lot and the sidewalks, especially the front one, because of the necessity of using the double front doors for Evelyn's funeral.

I know it was a bit of a "double-take" moment to see the tractor parked inside the front door, if you happened to be in church for Ash Wednesday, but there was no way of putting it back in the shed and Johnny didn't dare leave it outside.  No big deal; better safe(ly stored) than sorry.

ANYWAY , many, many thanks for all of Johnny's hard work and dedication.....aren't you all glad we got that snow blade now?!?!?!  You betcha!

WOMEN'S  GUILD - MARCH 2010

Well, here it is, the end of February, and plans for this coming spring are already in the works.  First, our meeting and mite box schedule:

March 7- Meeting and mite box collection
     April 4 - Easter Brunch
     April 11 - Meeting
April 24 - Delmarva District Spring Rally, Immanuel Lutheran, Preston
     May 2 - Meeting
May 15 - Attic Treasures Sale (set up the day before)
June 6 - Meeting (with election of officers), Mite box collection

Okay, now the news.....

Joan and I went down to Immanuel Lutheran in Easton on Sat, Jan 16th for the Spring Rally planning meeting.  7 churches were represented and there were 18 ladies in attendance, 1 guest and 1 pastor.  About average for these meetings, with the exception that Immanuel, Easton and Immanuel, Preston were attending for the first time in years.  I'll be telling you all the details at our next meeting, so I'll save the rest of the news until then (if you want to hear it, BE THERE!  HINT! HINT! ---HE! HE! HE!)

Okay, that's enough for now, see you on the 7th of March, right after Sunday School.
